Prior to forming Schoell, Geritz, Paul & Allard, Inc. in 1970, Robert Paul and Arthur Allard ran a small 2-person firm together in Del Mar.

Only one project by Paul & Allard, has been identified to date in San Diego County – the Frank Anthony Residence (1967) in Del Mar. By 1970, Donald Schoell and Eugene Geritz broadened their partnership to Schoell, Geritz, Paul & Allard, Inc. with the addition of Robert Stephen Paul and Arthur Dewey Allard Jr. joining the team.
