While little is known about architect Clifford “Cliff” Stanfield, he joined the AIA San Diego Chapter in 1961 and was living at 5667 Beaumont Avenue as well as a home of his own design at 760 Dodge Drive both in La Jolla during his active years. Stanfield, an architect also served as set designer for the La Jolla community theatre – including sets for “Bell, Book and Candle” in 1954 (according to the Evening Tribune and San Diego Union reviews of the play during its run).
