While little is known about William Rosser, the architect served the San Diego region across several decades.
William Rosser was a member of the San Diego Chapter of the AIA between 1956-1968 during the time he produced at least two homes for himself and various commercial designs including a civic theater program published in San Diego and Point Magazine in 1955. With Selden Kennedy and Lloyd Ruocco, Rosser brought the downtown Civic Theater into being.
Rosser’s model for a “new theater opposite the San Diego Zoological Society parking lot on Park Boulevard… surprisingly like the low horizontal shape of the Federal Building” was published in San Diego and Point Magazine (December, 1955).
