Bill Slatton was born in Texon, TX where he, as a young man, on the oil derricks, during World War II, Bill honed his welding craft – which he brought to Taliesin and was put to work on a number of buildings and creating a fountain that continues to operate to this day. Locally, Bill worked with Loch Crane, Ken Kellogg, William Lumpkins, Lloyd Ruocco, Homer Delawie and Frederick Liebhardt.
